Dive the Alabama Gulf Coast

The Alabama Gulf Coast is the site of the largest artificial reef program in the United States and has quickly become a favorite dive destination. Our 32 miles of sugar-white sand beaches and turquoise waters abound with diving and snorkeling opportunities for divers of all skill levels. Experience the Gulf Coast from a whole new perspective.

Alabama's variety of dive locations include ship wrecks, a purpose-sunk whole ship and jetties. Two favorites, the Whiskey wreck (a 200' rum runner), and the jetties at Perdido Pass, are located just a short swim from shore. The state's first purpose-sunk whole ship, The LuLu, is located 17 nautical miles south of Orange Beach. Sitting at a depth of 115 feet, with the top of the ship just 50 feet below the surface, it's the perfect depth for both beginner and experienced divers. Dive certification courses are available and there are children's dive camps for ages 8 and up.

Topside activities include paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, dolphin cruises and more. Venture beyond the beach and you'll enjoy bike and nature trails, signature golf courses, dining on fresh local seafood and plenty of family-friendly attractions. Accommodations choices include gulf-front condominiums, full-service resorts, nationally branded hotels and spacious beach homes.
