GET IN ON THE DIVING ACTION It's dive trip meets beach party during the third annual Grand Bahama Island Dive Week, June 18 - June 24. This is your chance to mingle with like-minded divers as you explore some of the best sites in the Bahamas.
During this special event, you'll stay at a premier all-inclusive beach resort, take daily boat trips with top-rated Reef Oasis Dive Club and enjoy plenty of social activities ashore. There are only a few spots left, so be sure to reserve your place at the party soon.
A DIVER-PLEASING DESTINATION Grand Bahama is a top choice for dive vacations. It's easy to reach, has a lot to offer ashore, is flanked by spectacular white-sand beaches, and delivers a diverse and engaging mix of diving adventures.
Many sites are just a short ride away from the beach, and the underwater landscape includes everything from shallow reefs to exciting wall dives and mysterious blue holes. Adding to the excitement are big animal encounters with sharks, turtles and dolphins.
WRECKS FOR ALL The waters of Grand Bahama hold a collection of shipwrecks that includes something for every diver. There are novice-friendly sites such as the Papa Dock — a storm-sunk shrimp boat now scattered across a shallow reef.
Divers of all experience levels will enjoy mid-depth wrecks like the overturned Pretender Wreck, the cinematically-featured Etheridge and the hulking Sea Star II, which has become a major marine life habitat. Slightly deeper but still within recreational ranges are the 235-foot Theo's Wreck and the LaRose Wreck, which is next to the famous Moray Manor dive site.
A DIVE WITH TIGERS Grand Bahama Island is the starting point for day trips to the world-famous site known as Tiger Beach, where divers can come face-to-face with mature tiger sharks that weigh upwards of a ton and reach lengths of 18 feet.
The "beach" is actually a shallow submerged sand bank that sits close to the deep blue waters of the Gulf Stream. The site's namesake tigers are often joined by lemon sharks, large grouper and a menagerie of smaller fish, making this one of the most thrilling wildlife encounters in the ocean.
ALL-INCLUSIVE INDULGENCES Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach is Grand Bahama's premier all-inclusive resort. Guests enjoy all meals, snacks and libations, unlimited non-motorized sports, daily activities, programs for kids, live nighttime entertainment, theme parties and more.
During Dive Week, guests also enjoy special dinners, a brewery tour and tasting, an evening beach bonfire and a lively night out at the famous Smith's Beachhead Fish Fry. You get all this and more with a Grand Bahama Dive Week Package from Caradonna Adventures.
