Introducing ADOPT THE BLUE   This World Oceans Day, PADI & PADI AWARE Foundation™ are proud to introduce the flagship Marine Protected Area (MPA) Program, ADOPT THE BLUE, the world’s largest network of underwater sites for conservation action. Managed by non-profit PADI AWARE Foundation, the program launch is the first big leap towards PADI’s commitment to protect 30% of the ocean by 2030. In March, PADI announced a 5-year partnership with Blancpain that aims to fundamentally increase the number of MPAs across the globe. The Swiss prestige watchmaker joins PADI as a founding partner of the MPA Program and ADOPT THE BLUE. This week, Blancpain has committed to double their support so you can double your conservation impact.   Blancpain will match all public donations to PADI AWARE Foundation ONE FOR ONE up to $100,000 until Saturday 11 June.      MATCH MY DONATION            Donations will go directly to PADI AWARE Foundation’s goal to reach 10,000 ADOPT THE BLUE sites by 2025, 1,000 this year. Once adopted, sites will be supported through community grants, citizen science programs and advocacy campaigns – advancing measurable conservation impact on marine debris, coral reef restoration, climate change and vulnerable marine species protection.
