The Oris Aquis Red Limited Edition, dedicated to the ongoing support of marine life projects, is a tribute to the Red Sea's wondrous depths, and a call to arms for its preservation. This striking timepiece is the ideal diving companion for those looking for an eye-catching aesthetic underpinned with an environmental consciousness. Oris has a long history of supporting marine life projects, such as the Maldives atolls in the Indian Ocean or the Tubbataha National Park in the Philippines. This year also marks the 4th year of the Sea Heroes program, which was started in 2011 as a way of supporting and recognizing individuals who were making positive contributions to the marine environment. Sponsored by Oris, the Sea Heroes awards recognize individuals who make a significant impact in the area of ocean and marine-life conservation — everyday people who not only make a difference, but also inspire the rest of us with their dedication. With the new Oris Aquis Red Limited Edition, Oris is supporting the Red Sea Environmental Centre’s work to protect one of the world’s top diving sites by providing two scholarships. This year, Oris and the RSEC are pleased to provide the two Oris Red Scholars, Justine Arnold and Tim Fuhrmann, with scholarships for the upcoming Dahab Reef Monitoring Project. Justine and Tim will actively report from the reef-monitoring program in Dahab Egypt, with approval from the National Parks' authority. The aim of the Reef Check procedure is to provide in-depth and systemized data describing the status of coral reef health with respect to anthropogenic and natural impacts. |
