Curacao diving Dive straight into paradise!

I heard wonderful stories of incredible Curacao diving. But, for one reason or another, I never had a chance in all these years of experience for me-until now! This was my first visit to this part of the world and could not wait to get into the water and what I had heard of all these years of experience. And I wasn't in less disappointed. I'm pretty sure that Bonaire has acquired a reputation for being diver-oriented Island to visit in this part of the world but, with its proximity to Curacao, how different could really be.

I guess not much. And with the charm of Willemstad to add to the trip I think I would opt for Curacao in a jiffy. Out in Curacao diving! What I found on my two dives was a clear three feet 80-110 of visibility, swarms of small tropical fish, some larger fish such as some barracuda and Queen Angel fish, clumps and mounds and various coral formations, sponges and colorful forests firecoral waiting for unsuspecting diver, a seahorse, some stationary rock fish and very, much more. The day was overcast, but with lots of sunshine in the water. The diving boat provided an easy entrance and exit from the water and the crew all spoke good English and were very proficient in water. Air fills were also very generous.During these two dives maximum depth setting and becoming was 70 meters and the current was meek and quiet. I was constantly scanning my environment.

Only other dive ever made which compares with it was to Cozumel and almost was not so spectacular. There was a 50 or 60 feet pretty shallow wall, there were finger coral reefs, there was a huge variety of marine life, there were only about 16 divers in the water in that area, there was a sunken tug to see, etc., etc., etc. You really have to see it to believe it.If you're a diver, make this a ' must ' dive on your wishlist. And most of the dives could easily have been done from the shore as it was by boat. Most of the time that we were anchored only about 50 metres from the beach.Curacao diving? One of the MUST visit places all over the world!Happy Curacao diving!
