PADI and the PADI AWARE Foundation are celebrating the 8th AWARE Week from 13 -21 September, and this would not be possible without your involvement. This week is all about ocean conservation and rallying together to protect what we love.
Meet Tatiana Geloso, Ocean Torchbearer Award Recipient
Tatiana is a PADI Instructor and ocean educator making eaves on Ustica Island, Italy. By introducing local youth to the island’s Marine Protected Area through hands-on conservation and sustainable diving, she’s shaping a new generation of ocean stewards.
Marine scientist, underwater storyteller, and on-camera presenter, Dr. Shireen Rahimi uses the power of visual storytelling to inspire social change and spark action for ocean conservation.
PADI and PADI AWARE Represent Dive Industry at UNOC3
PADI and PADI AWARE were the only organization representing the dive industry at the UN Ocean Conference in France—with few participants recognizing the vital role divers play in ocean conservation. PADI’s Senior Director of Environment & Sustainability, Katie Thompson shares why the dive community must now move from participant to leader in global ocean conservation.
