A Different Dive Site for Every Day of the Year

Dive 365 was launched in 2008 by the Cayman Islands in order to provide divers with even more opportunities to view our spectacular underwater landscape - all while preserving the precious marine environment. With the addition of 68 new dive sites, Dive 365 has aimed to alleviate the environmental impact of recreational diving at more popular sites, as well as offer divers a new experience for each day of the year. This goal became a reality with the opening of its final mooring at the end of 2012.

Each month, we will bring you dive sites featured in Dive 365 and hope that you'll join us to experience each and every one of them in our crystal clear waters!

Dive site of the month
Photo by: Elly Wray SITE NAME: Chub Hole ISLAND: Grand Cayman SITE: #198

Dive Site of the Month

This dive site of the month aims to please -- Chub Hole is one of Grand Cayman's most exhilarating dive sites. Located on the island's East End, Chub Hole is named for the various schools of "chubs" or ray-finned fishes that populate the site. A playground of sorts, the site contains colorful, shallow reef structures and caverns of all shapes and sizes that these and other marine life take leisure in. In the months of July through October, divers can feel the (silver) rush during Silverside season when these small shiny fish congregate the site looking to be the center of attention for beginning to seasoned divers, as they cannot be missed! Be sure to explore this remarkable site the next time you dive the underwater wonders of the Cayman Islands.

Diving artificial reefs

The last 12 months I managed to get a trip to Florida to do some diving, being rather a PADI qualified Diver, I decided to go take a look on the reef Oriskany. Oriskany Reef is a reef synthetic air craft previous provider and built by its quite an enormous "wreck" exploiting the time freely because it was sunk intentionally to provide a new reef environment.Oriskany coral reef lies off the coast of Florida and is not really useful for beginners like US divers Marine legislation must be a minimum distance of fifty five finger navigation from the surface to allow the delivery of cross comfortably on it.Having said that it is very low you should not have to go very far to get an excellent view of it. The big air craft can be very strike site under water and even though he was only there for a short period in relative sentences numerous fish and coral reef organisms have made it home.Even though I am an experienced wreck diver has no plans to go into this wreck merely observe from a safe distance outside was enough for me. This was a very unusual sensation to just above the top of the island of the flight deck.

These artificial reefs are going to transform the diving industry and also do loads for the oceans ECO system, we need to see further developments in this field as more and more of coral reefs which are under way around the globe get broken by reckless divers.Reintegration and the conservation of coral reefs exist we can benefit from the spectacular array of life that manages to exist within deep. I have to admit that I'd really like to do a wreck dive and penetrate the ship only to see the shapes of fish that made it home. Not a deep penetration as that is highly beneficial not only internal but more to see a bunch of hanger.

This may require technical skills and a number of good specialists to get recommendation from before tackling this proposition that I hope to return to this wreck during the next two years as a to get an experience more intense with this wreck. Oriskany when it was reefed landed inside the place in an upright position as this is a provider of air craft and the highest of the ship is wider than the bottom that has not been identified if he was going to do this. It's good that he did so because of it extra knowledge that seeing a wreck on his side.I've many wrecks dive some of the best of those could be found at Scapa Circulate in Shetland. After the war many German ships sunk there and stay as wrecks are very chatted with divers, but it's a hell of a long run to get there.

Usually you think of flight, however, that reduces the amount of diving that can be done, as many of the ships Scapa Flow are deep dives, too.I hope to try some extra artificial reefs to explore and take extra images and maintain an excellent file to see how these sheets to increase in popularity.Diving is usually an interest actually spectacular, and many individuals now go on holiday especially for scuba diving among the world's largest points-great barrier reef Australia, for example, or the Galapagos Islands from South America, among many others. What these dive sites are frequent is spectacular marine animals, sharks, being a particular favorite, besides the vibrant coral and several interesting marine plants. To scuba dive, before you want a professional teacher and access to scuba apparatus. It's a good tip to learn the basics of diving in your home country before your trip an extensive strategy for diving, as you may have extra nice in places only if you have at least some early concept what you're doing.Favorite diving holidays are sometimes ' live-aboards ', which means that you live aboard dive boat for your full period of travel. This saves each of the accommodation and the price of the dive, in addition to being a unique place to stay. However, be careful gentle journey and a short trip on a ship first to see if you get seasick-you do not have any fun on a reside-on board, if you happen to do.There are many different issues to watch out for those who decide to make dives. For one, worth checking out not to come too quickly, such as sudden changes in water stress could be harmful for the body. You also need to be cautious about the warmth of the water you dive into (should not be drastically different from the physical temperature) and wearing a wet suit to avoid getting stung with various underwater creatures and cultures which can give you a nasty scratching.

Don't fear an excessive amount of though: until you choose an excellent diving college, your instructor should undergo all the dangers you totally and will provide you with all the tools and information you need to avoid them.Diving has undergone a change ' deep ' from its authentic generic meaning. Originally meant only a plunge headfirst into the water and also an Athletic competition that involves the immersion in water. At the moment, if you happen to fly out of your plane for sport, call it diving or sky diving.Diving, as a SportDiving has been internationally recognized as a sport long ago and is one of the vital coveted part of the Olympics.

The game involves taking the plunge, from a distance, water or acrobatic height.Diving has three disciplines equivalent to 1 m, 3 m and Tower and divers are classified by age and sex. Towers range in height from 5 m to 10 m and excessive stage competitions like the World Cup and Olympics require diving alone 10 m platforms and spring boards are terms used in 3 & 5 m over 10 m, respectively.Learn about the parts of Diving?Your body has to be every bit a gymnast, robust, versatile and kinesthetic. Pursuit diving, beginning at an early age is recommended as your body might be the most versatile.

There are 4 elements of underwater diving defining positions. position-

1. Layout the body straight as an arrow.

2. Pike position-body bent at the waist and nowhere else.

3. Tuck body curled right place-a ball, with your knees touching her chin and heels your hips.

4. Free niche relaxed place for diving twisted.Takeoff, flight and entry into the water are key elements that determine the score. Each port equal weightage of three factors and 1 for the discretion of the judges. For example a perfect voice sprays water little or none. Then there are diving positions such as forward, backward, inward, reverse, based on how to start and then
