Introducing the Newest PADI AWARE Community Grantees
From combatting marine debris in Malaysia to facilitating coral reef studies, monitoring, and restoration in Mexico, PADI AWARE Foundation’s latest grant recipients are advancing ocean conservation in their local communities.
Meaningful change requires collective action – organizations and individuals alike working together to protect the ocean. Since 2022, PADI®, PADI AWARE Foundation®, and Swiss prestige watchmaker Blancpain have joined forces to protect marine areas and some of the ocean’s most vulnerable species.
The PADI AWARE® policy team represented the global diving community during the Global Plastic Treaty negotiations (INC-5) in Busan in the Republic of Korea in November 2024. Despite growing urgency, world leaders were unable to finalize a Treaty, with debates over plastic production limits and enforcement measures delaying progress. Together, we’ll keep pushing for the changes our world needs.
